Celebrating St. Luke: 18^th October

Every Thursday morning at our quiet service of Holy Communion, there is the opportunity to receive individual prayer, with the laying on of hands, for a specific need for healing, whether your own, or that of someone for whom you are concerned. For people who are at work, this is obviously an impossible time. 18^th October, however, is St. Luke’s Day, when we call to mind Luke the Physician, an early follower of Jesus, traditionally thought to have been the author of the third gospel (which has a particular interest in the healing stories of Jesus) and of the Acts of the Apostles. To celebrate St. Luke, there will be a service of Holy Communion, at 7.45pm., at which there will be an opportunity for prayers for healing, with laying on of hands. All are welcome.
